First, emotional learning is not as complex as it sounds or seems to be. But, we assume people, particularly at home and in the school, do not discuss it very much. Moreover, most people do not know about it very much.
The purpose of this site is to provide hints about Social and Emotional Learning. The information in here is intended to help, not only students but also parents and teachers, understand its implications on children’s everyday life, in and out of the classroom.
We strongly believe that Emotional and Social Learning is essential when we are trying to make our teaching more effective. To be aware of the emotional and social context of our students is important. So it is for parents to be aware of how their children feel and face how they feel and how they interact with the rest. And finally it is also important that children can learn to express their feelings and to interact, in order to create self and social awareness.
